Photography for Restaurants
Hello. I'm Simon Mees, a photographer with a passion for great food. I'd be excited to work alongside your marketing team and your chefs to capture the essence of the food you serve in your restaurant.
A typical shoot for me is 4 hours long with an extra hour for setting up my cameras and lighting. Ideally I'd like 25 minutes per dish allowing us to work through up to nine dishes.
Alternatively I can spend a couple of minutes per dish on their journey out from the kitchen. This would allow us to capture a wide range of dishes during service and would involve no waste. Obviously I'm unlikely to find the very best angles for each dish in this limited time.
I can work on a single table in the corner of your restaurant or in any spare space you have. Alternatively I can come and work with your chef when the restaurant is closed.
I will use a variety of lenses, camera angles and techniques to supply your marketing team with a wide range of shots. All photos will be run through Photoshop before I supply them to you.
A typical shoot will produce a mix of overhead shots, close ups, wider shots, multi-plate shots, shots with wine glasses etc. If you look through my portfolio and give me an idea of any type of shots you particularly like or would like me to focus on I can do that with pleasure.

He used a combination of existing video plus some additional footage prepared by himself to come up with a simple but clear video that could be viewed easily via our website. One great benefit was that, as a small business, we did not have to get involved in complicated hosting and technology issues as the video is held remotely on dedicated servers. This saved us a lot of time and hassle and allowed us to concentrate on selling the product itself."
